Luisa Petch
Owner and Director

Luisa Petch started out as a qualified hairdresser and was quickly recognised for her outstanding talent and was approached by a film company to do the hair for the actors on Xena, Hercules and Young Hercules in the 90’s. She then trained at the Academy of Film and TV makeup and went to work in the film industry for many years. 

She became senior hair and makeup artist at TV3 (Newshub) whilst also juggling magazine work for Bauer Media (Woman’s Day, Women’s Weekly, Next, New Idea, etc). Her offerings subsequently expanded to even more extensive projects including PR shoots for popular shows like The Bachelor, Masterchef, Dancing with the Stars, among others.

Luisa developed an extensive and reputable network of the “Who’s who” of NZ and found herself inundated with freelance assignments. The clients loved the concept of only having to deal with the one person and one invoice.

 With over 35 years’ experience as a qualified hairdresser and 25+ years as a makeup artist, Luisa is sought after by celebrities, brides, photographers, film, television, magazine, advertising, editors and clients wanting to feel extra special on any given day.

 In the need to meet ongoing demand, in 2014 Luisa embarked on an exciting new journey which marked the beginning of Glam Squad. She started to select her team, hand picking the most experienced and talented artists within NZ. The select team are well skilled in their chosen art, have personable natures and are professional with high standards.
