Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions outline information on which we sell the products and services listed on our website or other forms of publications to you. “We”, “Us” “Our” refers to Glam Squad NZ. These terms and Conditions will apply to any contract between us for the sale of products or services to you (Contract). Please read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that you understand them, before ordering any products or services from Glam Squad NZ. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, and your use of the website following any amendments will represent your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions as amended. We therefore recommend that each time you access our website or agree to any contract between us, you read these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are non-negotiable. Glam Squad NZ reserves the right to terminate your booking for any non-compliance of terms without resolution of dispute.

Services:

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. We endeavour to ensure that our price list is current however we reserve the right to amend our prices at any time. If you have made a booking and paid the deposit, we will honour the original pricing.

Bookings:

Bookings are not confirmed until we receive your deposit or full payment, as specified on your email, text and/or Invoice. We will do our best to accommodate date changes if reasonable time is given. By making a booking and paying a booking fee, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Deposits:

Peak season wedding bookings (1 November – 30 April) require a $500 non-refundable booking fee to secure your preferred date and time. All other wedding booking dates require a $400 non-refundable booking fee. All other bookings require a 50% non-refundable booking fee to secure your date and time. Once your booking fee or full payment has been received, you will be sent an email confirming and securing your booking. If a booking is made less than 7 days out from the appointment date, full payment is required immediately to confirm the booking.

Full Payment:

The remaining balance for all bookings is due 7 days before your appointment date, unless otherwise agreed by Glam Squad NZ. If full payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the booking fee. Any add-ons or additional costs will be invoiced after service, and payment must be made no later than 7 days from date of invoice. Any unpaid fees or invoices may incur a late fee charge.

Add-ons:

Additional services or add-ons on the day are acceptable if your artist agrees. Payment in full for any additional services agreed with your artist will be invoiced to you and payment must be made no later than 7 days from date of invoice.

Additional Costs:

Additional costs may apply to some bookings such as travel fees, after hours fees, public holidays/long weekend/Sunday surcharges. We will advise where possible, once we have the full details of your booking from you. Depending on the location of your booking, additional travel costs may apply. These may include parking, a per kilometre charge, flights, travel or stand-down time, time travelling and ferries. We will do our best to quote you travel costs at the time of booking, however in the unlikely event that additional reasonable travel expenses are incurred, you will be invoiced and payment must be made no later than 7 days from date of invoice.

Wedding Trials:

A trial includes one hair style and one makeup application, with minor adjustments. Additional hair styles or makeup applications may incur additional fees. If you would like to have another trial because you have decided you want a different look, an additional trial fee will be charged. Trials are non-refundable upon completion. Prior payment is required and an invoice can be provided.

Cancellations, No Shows:

Wedding date cancellations during peak season (1 November – 30 April) must be made 4 months prior to the wedding date. Cancellations made after this allocation will result in a 100% cancellation fee. If the date has been changed, we will do our best to accommodate but will not be held responsible to reimburse the deposit if the dates cannot be accommodated. Other booking cancellations must be made more than 21 days prior to the date. Cancellations made after the deposit is received will result in a 100% cancellation fee, or will be at the discretion of Glam Squad NZ. No shows. If the client is not there or has booked the wrong date/time/location, or for any other reason including illness or unforeseen circumstances, a no refund policy applies.

Satisfaction:

We use high quality brands and our artists work to the highest standards and do their best to provide quality work for you and your guests. We cannot be held responsible for any reaction caused, as unless we specifically know in advance of any specific allergies to exact products, this is out of our control. If you have concerns with products or you have skin or hair/scalp sensitivities, its important you let us know in advance. If you are unsure about anything, need advice or have a problem, please email or phone us. We want your service to be a professional glam experience that you are delighted with and will use and recommend our services time and time again.

Limitation of Liability:

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Glam Squad NZ (including its officers, employees, sub- contractors and agents) excludes all liability (including for negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of our services or products, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any allergic or other reactions to products or products use; (b) any damage to property; (c) participation in a booking, the promotion or use of a product.

Indemnity:

By accessing our website, booking our services or buying our products, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from all claims, actions, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising from or in connection with your use of our website, services and products.

Governing Law:

New Zealand law governs these terms and conditions, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

  • through any contact with us (e.g. telephone or email),

  • facilitate a service booking or process a product order placed by you

  • follow up with you after service for comment on your experience

  • improve our website and the services and products we provide to you

  • invoice you and collect money that you owe us

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personally Identifiable Information to outside parties unless required to by law, to enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety. We may disclose your personal information to any business, sub-contractor or agent that supports and delivers our services and products, including any person that hosts or maintains any underlying IT system or data centre that we use to provide the website or other services and products. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for our marketing, advertising, or other uses.

How do we protect your information?

We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse.

Do we use ‘cookies’ on our website?

We may do. Cookies are small files that a website or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser. This enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain non-personal identifying information. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf e.g. Google Analytics.
